Hi, I’m Britt—
Born and raised Texan, Boy mom, and artist living in Austin.
Brittany Atkinson is a contemporary artist whose love for creativity stretches back to her earliest memories. For years, she pushed her artistic pull aside, but the quiet moments of life eventually brought her back to the realization that painting was the part of herself she could no longer ignore.
Since then, Brittany has built a flourishing art practice that includes gallery representation, collaborations, commissions, and a growing print collection. Her signature abstract female portraits draw inspiration from the powerful women who shaped her.
Through her work, Brittany aims to celebrate authenticity and inspire women to take up space, embrace their stories, and live without apology. She often works in acrylics, oils, and charcoal, creating pieces that reflect resilience, individuality, and confidence. She hopes that each painting becomes a daily reminder of strength and self-expression for the women who collect her work.
Brittany lives in Austin, Texas, with her husband and two sons.
Brittany’s work has expanded beyond the canvas through meaningful collaborations and national partnerships. She collaborated with Anthropologie X Sunday Social Scene to create a custom grasscloth wallpaper celebrating femininity, strength, and expressive interiors.
She has exhibited with Society Social at Round Top and will continue to show work at Blue Hills, one of the country’s most celebrated art and design destinations. Her work has also been recognized in Art for Everyone and the Art Table book by gallery owner Liz Lidgett, highlighting artists shaping today’s contemporary art landscape.
She is currently represented by J. Mackey Gallery in the Hamptons, Orange Gallery in New Orleans, Liz Lidgett Gallery in Des Moines, and Society Social’s new gallery, STUDIO, a concept dedicated to contemporary artists.
At the heart of Brittany’s work is the belief that art is for everyone. Through originals, prints, and collaborations, she creates pieces that celebrate strength, individuality, and the power of women fully expressed.
